Peas a la Francaise

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb. fresh peas
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 cups lettuce coarsely chopped
  • 1/2 cup onion medium chopped
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • pepper
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp water + 1/2 tsp potato starch or cornstarch

Instructions
 

  • Combine peas, water, lettuce, onion, sugar, salt, and pepper in saucepan. Cover and bring to a boil.
  • Cook 2 minutes. Add butter. Dissolve starch in water. Add and stir to thicken.
