Instructions
Chop cabbage, wash and drain. Bring water and vinegar to a boil. Add cabbage and cook 10 minutes. Drain in collander. Put butter, cabbage and brown sugar into pot and cook slowly. Add 2 Tbsp flour slowly as cabbage cooks. Cook 2 hours over very low heat and stir every 10 minutes. Add raisins. Boil raw chestnuts 2 minutes so you can peel and chop into thirds. Boil for 10 minutes in water, drain, add to cabbage and serve.
